The Letter Rally Pictures Documents Contact Us Waitlist

And now for something completely different…

Monday, August 21 at 11:00 a.m., we’re going visiting. Government MPPs and Cabinet Ministers across Ontario need to get the message: “End the waitlist, and get ABA into every school in Ontario!” We’ve told them how to do it, it doesn’t require huge sums of money, and after 15 rallies and more than a year, there’s only been a bit of progress. Now, it’s “up in your grill” time.

In Ottawa, Kingston, Scarborough, London, Sarnia, and Windsor, we’ll be holding protests in front of MPP riding offices. Please come. Take your lunch break a little early. Bring your kids. Use an hour of your day to show your representative who you are and what you care about.

If you live in a Liberal-held riding somewhere else in the province, we’re asking you to write a letter to their MPP. You’ll find help with that here. Take it to your MPP’s office in person on the 21st, or at least drop it in the mail that day. We’d also like you to download our petition (here) and get some signatures. We don’t expect government members to present it for you, after all they seem to think they’re doing a good job, so visit our petition page for instructions on how to send your copy to us. Of course if you live in a PC or NDP riding, just drop it off to your MPP’s office.

Who we are…

We are the Ontario Autism Coalition—parents from across Ontario who are organizing local rallies to inform the public about ongoing problems with how the government is dealing with autism treatment.

1 - We want the government to end the waitlist by using less expensive private-sector providers of ABA.

2 - We want the government to regulate ABA practitioners.

3 - We want the government to provide ABA in schools.

We aren’t just complaining, we are offering solutions. We are taking up a petition.

And we will make our case to every one of Ontario’s 103 MPPs, and the people who live in their ridings.
